Black Currant - "Titania"

Ribes nigrum. Our favorite Black Currant. A very large berry with excellent taste. Developed in Europe in the 1980's, Titania is extremely hardy and disease resistant, both to mildew and white pine blister rust. Growth habit is vigorous and up- right. Fruits heavily, with a long season of ripening, beginning midsummer and ending in early September. A bit milder than other cultivars, but with typical black currant flavor. Mature height is 3-4 feet. Space 4 to 6 feet apart.
