A Rutgers University breeding selection out of Cream Ridge, New Jersey in 1964. Round-conic fruit with slightly rough, dotted skin; tart right off the tree, but sweetens into a rich, aromatic dessert flavor after a few weeks in storage. Crisp, firm, coarse-textured flesh that holds its quality exceptionally well — five months or more in cold storage. Medium-sized, upright tree, precocious and productive.
