Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa
From the ‘romance series’ out of University of Saskatchewan. These are attractive and highly productive trees that generally top out around 8-10 feet (smaller than Bali) and have a fairly bushy growing habit. The large, quarter-sized fruit makes picking go fast; they will yield 20-25 lbs. of fruit per year at maturity!
Cupid: -50°F with occasional injury. Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa. Brix = 17–19°. The largest fruit in the series, often weighing in at 6+ grams. Excellent for processing, lower on brix. Self-fertile, but yields will be benefit from another variety nearby.
