Juliet - Dwarf Pie Cherry
Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa
From the ‘romance series’ out of University of Saskatchewan. These are attractive and highly productive trees that generally top out around 8-10 feet (smaller than Bali) and have a fairly bushy growing habit. The large, quarter-sized fruit makes picking go fast; they will yield 20-25 lbs. of fruit per year at maturity!
d’Artagnan: -50°F with occasional injury. Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa. Ripens in early-mid August. Brix = 17-19°. A later release from University of Saskatchewan; not a member of the romance series, but with very similar genetics. Named after the Musketeer; larger fruit than Carmine Jewel, high flesh-to-pit ratio. Limited availability; considered more of a “collector’s” selection.
2-3 foot plants.
