Introduced in 1988, Nelson is a productive, vigorous, and upright bush. Berries are large in size; just a bit smaller than Patriot. Very easy picking. The berries are a deep blue color, classic of highbush blueberries. Flavor is sweet and fruit is firm, making Nelson a great choice for fresh eating and cuulinary purposes. Late season berry.
