-30°F. Wild seedling; parentage unknown. Ripens in early September. Red and orange blush.
Found by John Bunker on a fruit-exploring trip in Somerset County, Maine in fall of 2015. Medium, roundish-ovate fruit, slightly ribbed, with greasy, shiny skin. Flesh is dense, spongy, and remarkably juicy; low in acid but with some astringency and bitterness, landing it in the bittersharp category. A "true spitter" fresh off the tree, but recommended for the adventurous cidermaker's blend. Appears to bear annually.
