Sweet Thing: -50°F with occasional injury. Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa. Ripens in late July. Brix = 19-21°. A later release from University of Saskatchewan; not a member of the romance series, but with very similar genetics. Bred specifically for fresh eating: sweeter, lower acidity, but with lower productivity than Juliet or Carmine Jewel. Not widely released; often classed as experimental. Self-fertile, but yields will be higher with another variety nearby.
