Tater House Apple
$35.00
-35°F. Chance seedling. Ripens in October. Spotless red-violet; ribbed.
Found by fruit explorer Steve Miller growing on a potato-house earth berm in New Sweden, in Maine's Aroostook County. Large, round-oblate fruit with strikingly clean red-violet skin and pronounced ribbing. Good fresh dessert quality that improves with storage. Bears heavily and keeps remarkably well; a hit at farmers markets.
3-5 foot trees.
