d'Artagnan: -50°F with occasional injury. Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa. Ripens in early-mid August. Brix = 17-19°. A later release from University of Saskatchewan; not a member of the romance series, but with very similar genetics. Named after the Musketeer; larger fruit than Carmine Jewel, high flesh-to-pit ratio. Limited availability; considered more of a “collector’s” selection. Self-fertile, but yields will be higher with another variety nearby.
