Bill MacKentley is still growing lots of cold-hardy plants at his home across town from the new nursery location.  He grew enough for the nursery to list several new trees this year, and this is one of them!  

Chinese Catalpa, also known as Yellow Catalpa, is a resilient deciduous tree prized for its adaptability and ornamental features; heart-shaped leaves and fragrant white flowers. It reaches a mature height of 25-40 feet, making it a great choice for small yards. This versatile tree suits various soil types but thrives in well-drained, fertile soil. Its rapid growth and distinctive appearance make it a popular choice for landscaping and shade provision.  Not extremely hardy by SLN standards; we can only guarantee these trees down to a zone 4.  Seed was sourced in Zone 3/4.
